FINDING COURAGE IN OUR HEARTS

As we walk along our path in daily life, do we feel fulfilled? Do we make choices based on fears, or do we embrace opportunities when presented to us without regard for past failures? Each day, we are faced with hundreds of choices. Do we continue to make the same decisions over and over again then wonder why we seem to be in a rut? What would happen if, for one day, we set intentions to choose differently?

Where does courage come from? They say that courage is not the absence of fear, but the will to overcome it. Not only the will but the ability to replace fear with faith. When we fill our hearts with faith and act from a place of inner guidance, then there is nothing to fear. Fears are not even realized because they simply do not exist when we come from that place of knowing. Once we begin to follow our inner knowing, we may find that decisions are made more easily, and we feel more comfortable as we move ahead. This practice is like anything else, the more we do it, the easier it gets.

Sometimes we feel like we do not have to choose, and act without even thinking. Even if the choice we are making is a difficult one, we move ahead how we feel compelled. That feeling is our guidance system leading us strongly where we need to go or be. It is an undeniable feeling that we can not ignore. Many times, it will present itself to us loudly so we do not miss it. Once we begin to tune into the subtleties of our guidance, we will be able to make all decisions securely and with that level of confidence.

So, in closing, if you are ready to make some changes to how you respond to decisions that need to be made, try this… Go within. Meditate on a decision that needs to be made. Instead of focusing on fear of the outcome, feel into what feels good. Embrace what feels right in your heart space. Sink deeply into your heart space and move away from your spiraling thoughts. Become reacquainted with yourself and your inner guidance. You will be happy that you did!
